A socially and environmentally high-value intervention has affected the operational building of the Croce Azzurra ODV di Rovellasca, which also hosts medical clinics open to the public. The integrated energy refurbishment intervention, carried out with the aim of improving energy performance and comfort of the spaces, has transformed the building from an energy class G to an energy class A2, significantly reducing consumption and emissions.
Interventions carried out
Construction of external thermal insulation
Application of continuous external thermal insulation to eliminate thermal bridges and improve the energy efficiency of the building envelope.
Replacement of window frames
Installation of new high-performance window frames that guarantee excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.Insulation and waterproofing of the ceiling
Targeted intervention to reduce thermal losses to the outside and protect against weather agents.Installation of a photovoltaic system with battery storage
System for the production and storage of renewable energy, aimed at achieving energy autonomy for the building.
Achieved results
Transition from class G to class A2
Reduction of management energy costs
More comfortable and healthy environments for operators, volunteers, and patients
Greater environmental sustainability thanks to the use of renewable sources
A virtuous example of how rehabilitation interventions can combine efficiency, social responsibility, and respect for the environment, in the service of the community.
